A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
Years ago, I found myself in the African bush by chance. I didn’t go there looking for clarity — but that’s what I found. The mix of adventure, exposure to new cultural perspectives, and time in nature planted new possibilities like seeds in my mind: New careers, cravings for new adventures, and most importantly new stories about myself. Thanks to that experience, when I found myself in an unfulfilling job after, I quickly recognize that I wasn’t building a career that my authentic self would be proud of.
I didn’t know what the right career looked like, but I knew if I watered those seeds they would grow into something I liked. I moved to Kenya after only 11 months as a JPM IB Analyst in NY. 5 years later, I woke up with my dream career… What I always wanted, but never knew how to bring to life:
For me, it was to be an entrepreneur and found a successful business. For you, it might be something else. The beauty of inspiration is it plants different ideas for each person. My first time camping, hiking, and overlanding in the bush was critical to kick off that process, and give me the courage to drive my career off-road when I needed to. This retreat is my way of recreating that experience intentionally, for students standing where I once stood: full of potential, but unsure where to start.
If you're the kind of person who side-hustles for fun, chases ideas like fireflies, and feels most alive in deep conversation… you might already feel it: your path won’t look traditional. You don’t want it to be traditional. So it makes sense that you’ll need some non-traditional tools & perspectives to help you actualize it. Especially if you’re like I was: without mentors, networks, or support systems. It took me years of detours to acquire what I needed, and so I’ve made some tweaks to get you there even faster:
No curriculum. No cheesy coaching frameworks. Just 10 days in the African bush—moving, laughing, reflecting, and asking real questions with interesting peers. I'll guide workshops to give you food for thought, and after the trip you can start building with post-trip support: mentorship, and community to help launch your next project, idea, or career path.
You will learn to off-road safari, watch wild elephants graze from feet away, meet the Masai tribe & learn about their culture, and volunteer with Nairobi’s underserved youth. Your Trip Cost will even sponsor an underserved Kenyan orphan to attend College—and you’ll get to meet them on the trip. You’ll have fun, make an impact, and return with a new perspective. Not bad for summer vacation..

Clarity doesn’t come from thinking harder—it comes from moving differently, and from new experiences.
